how are words invented?

Objects are usually named after their discoverers or inventers.....all words are drived from the original languages that we all spoke,such as latin...and get abbreviated over the years.............

Bakewell is weird
what if they made a Bakewell, that wasnt baked well at all.. Like something from my Home Economics class (I thought adding sugar to sausage rolls would make them taste nice, how wrong i was!
Would it still be a bakewell?

yes, it would still be called a "bakewell" because the cake, if you like, orginated from the town Bakewell. I've been there aswell - it's a rubbish town.

how do town's get their name.. i.e middlesex was did it used to be middle essex or cornwall.. is there a wall of corn there? and did a guy called scott own some land up north???
